Serile trecute, pe la ora 22.00 ma gaseam in statia de tramvai, incercand sa ajung acasa. Viscolea. Pe refugiu – lume ca la manifestatie. Tramvaiul refuza sa vina, vantul spulbera zapada, iar eu ma transformasem intr-un mic cub de gheata de 90 de kilograme. Deasupra noastra, de pe copertina refugiului, o placa de policarbonat, din aceea transparenta, iesise din suruburi si se zbatea in vant nu ca o pasare ranita, ca ar fi prea romantic, dar ca un epileptic in criza.
La un moment dat, imi dau seama ca foaia de plastic are sa se desprinda de tot si, daca ajunge pe vreo masina in miscare, s-ar putea sa iasa rau.
Intr-un acces de incredere in institutiile statului, sun la 112.

Buna seara, nu va suparati, sunt in statia de tramvai Gen. Vasile Milea. De pe copertina refugiului s-a desprins o placa de policarbonat si in curand o s-o ia vantul, o sa ajunga pe vreo masina si cine stie ce se intampla, zic.
Parca pentru a-mi confirma spusele, starnita de suflarea viscolului, placa se izbeste de vreo trei ori de scheletul metalic.

Uitati ca se si aude, completez.
Repica operatoarei vine, implacabila, sub forma de intrebare:

In ce sector sunteti?
Simt ca ma sufoc. Nu, nu de frig sau din cauza vantului, ci de uluire. Deasupra mea, placa se zvarcoleste in continuare.

Nu stiu in ce sector sunt – e statia de tramvai Vasile Milea, raspund.
Vreo doi barbati, atenti la demersul meu cetatenesc, imi fac semn ca e sectorul 6.

E sectorul 6, zic.

Si nu puteti sa-mi spuneti pe ce strada e?

Doamna, raspund, incercand sa raman rezonabila macar eu, nu stiu pe ce strada e – este statia de tramvai Vasile Milea. Ce poate fi mai fix decat o statie de tramvai?

Am inteles. Cum va numiti?

Mihaela Onofrei, dar asta n-are nici o importanta, chestia aia tot o sa cada, indiferent cum ma cheama pe mine.

Asteptati un moment, sa va dau la pompieri, se indura in sfarsit operatoarea.
Raman la telefon. Dupa un timp, raspunde un nene de la pompieri, caruia-i turui povestea – s-a desprins o placa de policarbonat de pe copertina statiei de tramvai Vasile Milea, o sa cada peste o masina, o sa provoace un accident.
Pompierul imi cere sa repet unde anume se intampla ce spun eu. Ma conformez: statia Vasile Milea, sensul – spre Razoare.

Si la ce inaltime e? ma chestioneaza in continuare barbatul.
Imi zic: “LOL, un moment, sa-mi iau ruleta”, dar inainte sa apuc sa deschid gura, omul se corecteaza:

Doi metri, nu?
Cam asa, confirm.

Bine, trimitem o masina.
Dupa mai mult de 10 minute, tramvaiul oricum nu venise, toti eram bocna, dar a aparut o masina de pompieri. Mult timp, vehicolul a ramas in expectativa, inainte de intrarea in intersectie. Acolo nu era nici o statie de tramvai si, deci, nici o placa de policarbonat periculoasa. Toti cei din statie eram congelati, asa ca nimeni nu era in stare sa se duca pana la pompieri, sa le zica unde e, de fapt, beleaua.
La un moment dat, masina s-a pus in miscare. Pesemne, voiau sa plece. Deasupra noastra, placa se agita mai abitir decat inainte. Am inceput sa dau din maini ca un naufragiat, apoi am aratat in sus, spre copertina invalida, Sperantele mele s-au implinit: masina si-a schimbat directia si a venit spre refugiul de tramvai. Pompierii au mai zabovit putin, inainte de a debarca pe prozaicul carosabil inghetat. Era ca si cum ar fi asteptat ca povestea sa ajunga singura la un deznodamant, iar ei sa nu mai aiba de facut decat un lucru simplu, cum ar fi sa constate decesul cuiva. N-a fost sa fie; au trebuit sa coboare, pentru ca placa se incaptana sa reziste vantului.
Au venit pe refugiu. Cu pompierii erau si doi militieni – probabil ca aveau misiunea sa aresteze placa in cazul in care ar fi opus rezistenta la fixare. Impreuna cu pompierii si militienii a venit si tramvaiul, asa ca povestera mea nu are un sfarsit. M-am urcat in vagonul supraaglomerat, lasand in urma mea doi vajnici luptatori cu focul, urcati pe bancuta refugiului, si privind in sus, fata in fata cu insotitorii lor, cei doi destoinici aparatori ai legii, care pareau mai scunzi, pentru ca nu se urcasera pe bancuta, dar priveau oricum in aceeasi directie si la fel de tamp.
In timpul asta, placa de policarbonat continua sa se zvarcoleasca in bataia vantului.
“Vin acus la tine. N-ai sa stii ce te-a lovit”, parea sa spuna copertina masinilor care continuau sa treaca sfidator pe langa statia de tramvai, crezand ca infrunta o banala noapte geroasa de iarna.
